VIRANIX TERRALOCK 1K

TERRALOCK 1K is the mandatory primer for the VIRANIX stone carpet system, forming the basis of the flooring's durability and adhesion. Its job is not just to prepare the substrate, but also to bind residual dust, stabilize pores, and create the optimal adhesion surface for the stone carpet layer.

This primer cannot be replaced with a general-purpose deep primer — TERRALOCK 1K has been specifically optimized for the VIRANIX stone carpet system.

What is VIRANIX TERRALOCK 1K used for?

• seals the top layer of concrete and mineral substrates
• binds residual dust and laitance (cement film)
• creates a uniform adhesion bridge for the stone carpet
• reduces the absorbency of the substrate
• increases the service life of the flooring
• prevents delamination and adhesion failures

Suitable Substrates

VIRANIX TERRALOCK 1K can be applied to the following stable, load-bearing surfaces:

• concrete
• screed
• cement-based substrate
• stable old tile or flooring (after mechanical preparation)
• plastered, mineral surfaces

⚠️ Not suitable for crumbling, wet, oily, greasy, or unstable substrates without prior repair.

Technical and Storage Data

• Product type: single-component (1K), water-based primer / adhesion bridge
• Use: under stone carpet flooring, for substrate preparation
• Material requirement: approx. 0.15 kg/m²
• Application: with a brush or roller, in an even layer
• Drying time (20 °C): approx. 2–4 hours
• Can be coated over: once fully dry
• Recommended application temperature: between +10 °C and +30 °C
