Installing VIRANIX SMARTWALL PVC Wallpaper

Cleaning the Wall
A perfect result starts with a clean wall. Before applying the VIRANIX SMARTWALL self-adhesive wallpaper, thoroughly remove dust and grease from the surface! The adhesive layer will only bond 100% on a completely dry, smooth wall, so it stays beautiful for years.

Precise Measuring and Cutting
The key to flawless installation is precise measuring. Measure the wall's height and allow a 5-10 cm safety margin at the top and bottom. Use a sharp cutting tool (utility knife) and a ruler to cut the first strip to size. Tip: For patterned wallpaper, pay attention to pattern matching (repeat) when cutting further strips!

Starting the Protective Film
Time to stick it on! Starting at the top corner of the wallpaper strip, carefully peel back the protective film on the backing about 10-20 cm. Fold the film back to expose the adhesive surface. Tip: Never peel off the entire film at once, as the wallpaper can easily stick to itself or get damaged! Work in stages.

Applying and Smoothing Out Air Bubbles
Fix the top, already exposed part of the VIRANIX wallpaper to the wall. While one hand slowly continues peeling off the backing film from top to bottom (as shown by the lower hand in the picture), use the other hand with a plastic smoothing tool (squeegee) to continuously smooth the wallpaper onto the wall.

4. Can it handle wet rooms?
Yes, the surface is water- and moisture-resistant. However, instead of direct water spray on a shower wall, a wall guard/glass panel is recommended. Ventilation is mandatory.
5. Can it be bent onto curved surfaces too?
Yes. This is the advantage of the roll-format system: corners, columns, and curves can also be neatly covered by gently softening with heat and smoothing it on.
6. How thick is it?
It depends on the type, usually 2–4 mm. The thicker version is more comfortable and better hides minor surface flaws.
7. What should I cut and smooth it with?
A sharp utility knife, a straight edge, a rubber smoother. Measure twice, cut once — a clean, burr-free edge gives the premium effect.
8. How long does installation take?
An average wall section takes a few hours. No tile dust, no grouting — fast, clean work.
9. How is it cleaned?
A damp microfiber cloth, a mild cleaning agent. Don't use strong solvents or abrasives — to keep the decorative surface looking nice.
10. Can it be used on furniture fronts too?
Yes. Smooth laminate/MDF fronts can be quickly refreshed with it — precise cutting and edge-folding at the ends gives a premium final result.
